REGULAR OPERATING HOURS

We are open to the public Wednesday-Sunday from 10:00am - 4:15pm

Tour times are: 10:15 AM, 11:30 AM, 12:45 PM, 2:00 PM, & 3:15PM

If you have less than 10 people in your group there is no need to book a reservation in advance.

For groups with 10 or more people, please call 318-379-0055 for reservations.

*We are closed to the public on Mondays & Tuesdays*

Monday - Tuesday is reserved for groups of 10 or more who have booked their group tour at least one week in advance.

Private tours Monday & Tuesday with less than 10 people must pay for 10 people.

*The ticket price for a private tour on a Monday or Tuesday is $15 per person.

*There will be a $25 closed-day fee for each group who books a tour on Monday or Tuesday.
This will be in addition to the price of the tickets.

Tour Information & Admission

  • All visitors MUST check in at the gift shop (Bindery).

  • The first tour is at 10:15AM, the last tour is at 3:15PM.

  • Melrose closes at 4:15PM.

  • Guided tours run approximately 45 minutes and begin at the Bindery/Gift Shop.

  • Tours take place rain or shine.

  • Guided tour involves walking up and down more than one staircase.

  • Site terrain includes brick pathways, gravel, and grass.

  • Access to the grounds is included in all guided tour tickets.

  • Access to the Big House and the top of the African House is included in the Guided Tour only.

Guided Tour Admission:
Adults: $15.00

Seniors & Veterans $13.00

Students (ages 12-17): $10.00
Students (ages 6-11): $5.00
Free Admission to APHN members

Self Guided Grounds Walk:
Adults: $10.00 (Does not include access to the Big House or the top of the African House)

Students (ages 12-17): $5.00
Students (ages 6-11): $3.00

For the safety and comfort of our guests, and the preservation of our historic buildings, we ask all our guests to comply with the following rules:

  • No pets or smoking permitted on the grounds

  • Children must be supervised at all times

  • No open food or drink allowed while taking a guided tour
